These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Herbernie International website and all services offered through it, including online consultations, health assessments, and the purchase of prescribed natural health products.
Herbernie International is a natural health practice based in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), South Africa. The practice is founded and led by Dr. Bernard Lurie, N.D., a naturopathic doctor, iridologist, osteopath, and herbal medicine practitioner with over four decades of clinical experience.
By accessing this website or booking a consultation, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Herbernie International offers the following:
All services are provided in accordance with the scope of practice of natural health medicine in South Africa. We do not provide emergency medical care, acute diagnostic services, or prescription pharmaceutical treatments.
Appointments are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment. You will receive a confirmation with your appointment time and video call link by email.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours before your appointment. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment time are non-refundable. To cancel or reschedule, contact us at the details listed in Section 11.
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your appointment, we will notify you as early as possible and offer a full refund or reschedule at your preference.
Please join your online consultation on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late without prior notice, the appointment may be forfeited and the fee retained.
Consultation fees are charged in South African Rand (ZAR). The current fee for an initial 30-minute online consultation is R490. This fee covers the consultation only. Prescribed medication and supplements are billed separately following your session.
Payment is processed securely through our online payment provider. Herbernie International does not store your payment card details.
Refunds for completed consultations are not offered as a general policy. If you believe an error has occurred with your payment, contact us within 7 days and we will investigate and resolve it promptly.
The information on this website, including health assessments, articles, and treatment descriptions, is provided for general educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice and is not a substitute for professional diagnosis or treatment.
Always seek the guidance of a qualified health practitioner with any questions you have regarding a medical condition. Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read on this website.
Natural health treatments work alongside — not as a replacement for — emergency care, acute medical intervention, or treatment prescribed by your physician. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
Results described on this website reflect general clinical observations. Individual results vary. No specific outcome is guaranteed.
